Creating a WebCD: Building

Building is the process of creating an image with all the items in the Retrieval View. This WebCD Viewer image can be stored on your hard drive or on a writable CD. The build process:

Bullet Converts the retrieved web contents into a format suitable for CD-ROM publication.

Bullet Integrates the WebCD Viewer software and specified helper applications so that the user an view the entire WebCD contents.

Bullet Creates an ISO 9660 compliant CD image that is viewable across multiple platforms, including Windows, Macintosh and Unix operating systems.

Bullet Optionally creates an index, so WebCD users can quickly search the entire WebCD for specific information.
